Teknique are a duo of Jeff Barringer and Aaron Young, hailing from Southern California. 'Face The Reality (Remix)' is taken from their polished debut album, Nightfall, recorded in 1992 but never officially released. The duo dropped off a cassette of the album through the door of Mute's headquarters at 429 Harrow Road in London; they're still waiting to hear back from the A&R department. Barringer has gone on to become a successful DJ and producer, working with the likes of Jessica Sutta (Pussycat Dolls) and Carmen Electra, while Depeche Mode fans might recognise him for his rare-as-hen's teeth competition-winning remix of 'I Feel Loved'. Teknique are currently hard at work on a second album and are preparing Nightfall for its long-overdue release.
