Two friends. Two countries. Two continents. Two computers. One worldwide web. Crown Estate are Julie Rumsey and Sacha Galvagna. The project started while Sacha was living in Hong Kong (now in Berkley CA). Julie was based in London (now still in London). They sent each other samples of music and ideas, gradually building songs. Add the wizardry of Si Begg and the Crown Estate sound was born. The music has been described as 'lo-fi minimalist electro-pop' and their debut single 'Battlesbridge' has garnered support from Amazing Radio / BBC London's Gary Crowley and 6 Music's Nemone. 'East Anglia' was the first track the duo recorded together.
